Our California Trip

We had a really nice time down in California visiting the family :) Busy and exhausting but really fun.

This is a picture of Rafael (Orlando's Dad) stirring a HUGE pot of Pozole.... YUMMY!

A christmas present for Levi :) We got so many adorable new clothes for him!

Orlando and I with my nieces (Evelyn, Jessica & Monique) Aren't they cute?

A few family members sitting outside eating Christmas dinner. (I really mean it when I say a few. Half of them were not even there yet, and the rest were sitting at the big table inside)

One of my Tias (aunts) passing out Christmas present to the little kiddos :)

I have so many more pictures, but just wanted to share a few. Enjoy!

Letter Update

Hi Everyone,

It has been awhile since I posted anything, sorry. Been so busy with the holidays etc. We just got back from visiting Orlando's family in California. I will post pics later one of our trip.

In terms of letters, we are doing pretty good! My friend Debbie found  B, D, R, & W for me!!

I have decided to buy the rest of the letters (ONES IN RED) at Joann's or Michaels this week so I can start painting them. So nobody worry about searching anymore. THANK YOU everyone for all your help in this project! I could not have done it without you.

Can't wait to get them painted and decorated! Will definitely show you all pictures!

More posts coming soon.....

Love, Amy

Letter Update...

We are doing remarkably well on the letter search. There are just a few more to find. If I don't find them in the next 2 months, I will just buy them at Joanne's or Michaels. I would much rather find them at a thrift store, but at least I have a back-up plan :)

Oh where, oh where are the following letters??

B   D   I   J   K   R   T   U   W   Z

We will find you!!

Winter Wreath Makeover

With winter just around the corner, I decided I better start making something for my front door. My fall  "shoes off" sign is cute, but it soon will need to be taken down and put in the "fall decor" bin :) I found this old Christmas wreath at the thrift store for $3.

I then took off all of the old musty Santa decor and the actual wreath part looked in pretty good shape.

I then decided to make this a "use what I have" craft. I found some blue ribbon and snowflakes that I had bought last year. I think it turned out pretty nice :) And it was really fun to make. It was my first wreath that I have ever made. I am inspired to make one for every season :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Project Baby Room: Color Choice

Project Baby Room! We only have a few more months to get this room ready!!
Step 1: Figuring out the color theme. I have heard that you should first pick out your baby bedding before you pick out your paint colors. It is easier to match paint to bedding, then bedding to paint. We decided to go with the following bedding from Target. I love the combination of blues, greens, and browns.

2. Which colors do we want to bring out by painting the room? I am thinking that I really like thie lightest blue color on the polka dot. I am debating between the following colors:

What do you think?

My New Favorite Bakery....

So, I found my new favorite Spokane bakery/coffee shop. It just opened this month and is just a block away from where I work. So far I have only tried their cupcakes, but every flavor has been WONDERFUL!!! The inside decor is sooo cute, and I am sure this place is going to thrive! These pictures are going to make you hungry!!!

Anyway, you just have to try this place out! It is located at 15 South Washington (Corner of Washington and 1st Street in downtown Spokane)

Shoes Off Please!

Not the best picture, I admit, but I wanted to show you my "shoes off" sign that I made for my front door a few weeks ago. Since we have white carpet in our house, we decided all shoes better come off! Once fall is over I will make a winter one, but for now I am enjoying the colors of autumn.

Have a good day!

Our little boy :)

So I have not blogged much about my baby as I do still get nervous something could go wrong or something could happen to my little one. But I realize, the more I live in fear of that, the less I will enjoy this time in my life. So, I have decided to share my recent ultrasound pictures with you!

Our little boy's profile :)

A darling little hand! I can't wait to hold it!

I finally got a bump!!!

WE are SOOOO excited to meet our little boy!

My Alphabet Search!

Good Morning!

I need your help folks! I am trying to collect all 26 letters of the alphabet and I will tell you why. I found this great nursary idea online a while back and I absolutely love it!

So, I am on the search for letters. Once I find all of my letters I will paint them the same color to match the bedding and decor of the room.

The letters I have are crossed out in green:

I found 3 letters a few days back at Northwest Christian Thrift for 25 cents each.. V, A & Y (They lady actually gave them to me for free because I only had my debit card) .

Then, this weekend my friend and co-worker Mollie found 3 more letters for me at the Goodwill, and the clerk also gave them to her for free!! They were the letters G, E, & N.

I am going to spend the next months looking for letters. If I am a few short near the end, I can always buy the wooden ones at the craft stores and paint them, but for now I want to see how many I can find at thrift stores ect. It will be like a treasure hunt!

Here is where I need your help! If you happen to see some letters (any shape, any size, any color I don't care) can you pick them up for me? No more then 3 bucks each please, if possible. I will totally pay you back! I will update you as I find letters so we can all be on the same page.

Thanks!!

Cribs....my final pick!

Has anyone ever looked at all the thousands of cribs they have out there and gotten overwhelmed? Oh my goodness! Every color, style, type of wood, price..... It can be rather stressful! My wonderful grandma gave me money to buy a crib so after hours of online searching I have decided on the one below. (NOT the bedding) just the actual white crib. I love how it has the changing table directly attached. What do you think?

I found this version to be the cheapest at Sears. $354.00. It was over $400 at Babies R Us, Amazon..ect. I saw this actual crib at Baby Depot but they only had it in a dark wood. It is quite sturdy which is good.

Anyway, just a little something I wanted to share with you all,

xoxo, Amy
